Finally!! We have pictures to show you! It's me, the man of the house!!! And I'm HOME!!! Being home is hella grrrrrreat. Darci and I have been having a blast and I am soooo glad to be home. Life feels like it's just begun for us, but the trip is that we've been married for going on four years. And the beauty of it all is that we still feel like newlyweds. This picture is taken on the west coast at Piha Beach. It was sooo beautiful there. But you know what??? This is where we live. But don't you just love my manly pink shirt???? Ha. Ha.

Anywayz, I've been here for about a month and things are going better than either one of us could have imagined. Yes, it's beautiful.

My family threw a big ol' BBQ for me and Darci. There was alot of food and alot of family. And we enjoyed the strong feeling of welcome from everyone there. The funny thing was that there were about 60 to 70 people there and everyone kept apologizing about most of the family not being able to make it. They also said to see how much family turns up at the Christmas party...(at the beach) ... yeah, it's Christmas during summer time.

Well today, we were able to attend a wedding. It was coo'. My cousin got married and we went to support the bride and to meet what ever family didn't show up at the big ol' BBQ. Now we are just updating the blog to let everyone get a chance to see us living in New Zealand. It's beautiful out here. And to think we live in paradise.

Darci and I are doing our thang!!! I am working now and I get to go do my MAN thing and come home to appreciate that my woman does her WOMAN thing. Woman thing being that she can cook like all get out. Knows how to treat her man. Keeps a clean house. And always reminds me to pray and remember that the Lord is definately in our home. I always look forward to dinner time. Now anyone who knows anything about the "Junior Tacos" will know what I'm talking about, but I can't believe that with all the warnings about how good the Tacos were, that I would still be blown away by my woman's cooking. I've been home a month now and we've had those Tacos three times. And each time I can't beleive how good they are. She actually caught me while being caught up in eating one. I think that everyone will appreciate the enthusiasm with which I devoured the Taco... But excuse the fat face...

Soooo... Life is great. And living with this woman is more fun than you would ever believe. I am just expressing to everyone who cares, that I am soooo madly in Love with my Darci....(call it whoooped if you want)...til next time Holla!!!

We Are.....Learning!

Hi Again! No pictures yet. As soon as I have my computer up and working I promise that no post will be without one! Another week has gone, if all goes well we are down to 11 days! Feels a bit like deja vu. I drove myself down to my in-laws today! First time on the motor way. I learned something interesting. The speed limit signs are NOT, I repeat NOT just silly signs on the road! They are there, as I learned today, to help people not get run over on their first time driving in a foreign country! You would think it was a simple as staying on the left hand side. There are so many more implications; blinker, also on the left, how many times I have now turned on my windshield wiper for no reason! How about exiting on the left, the left being the SLOW lane.. The list goes on and on.. I have found myself feeling more like a child than I have in a long time. literally learning by example.. For instance driving to my home I am on the left hand side but need to turn right. So, I am waiting for the oncoming traffic to have a break to go thru.. Just as I am ready to start swearing, a car in the oncoming right hand side lane stops and lets me go!!! I think to myself this has got to be the nicest country EVER! Crazy enough it happened again two days latter. I started doing it in return just because I didn't want to be pegged as the rude American. Then, my landlord came over last night and as we were visiting she asked, "so, have you figured out that if the person in the right hand lane is turning and there is someone waiting in the left hand lane to turn the right hand lane person gives way (yield) to the left hand turning?". So my lesson this week is that, maybe it is nice, or maybe it is a LAW.

More next week....

We Are..... Waiting!

Well, It has been almost three weeks. No Eki yet. The hardest part has been not being able to talk to him to hear how he is doing. I did finally get to hear his voice yesterday. That was great, but the news that it brought me was that I will be alone until at least the 28th of this month. Gotta love the customs process! New Zealand (after the initial shock!) has been kind to me and a fun new atmosphere! Anywhere I go, as soon as I open my mouth the whole room looks to see who has the "accent"! I laugh everytime! That is it for now, more to come...

We Are..... Lucky!

My kind and generous friend Jada offered to start up this blog for Eki and me. It will be a way for us to keep everyone up to date with our lives. To share with you New Zealand!

So here it is... My first post. Eki and I feel so lucky as the song says to be in love and to be coming home, together after so long! I moved my flight back to Saturday and feel so happy that my brother Jordan and his oldest daughter Serena will be joining me for my first week in Auckland. I am sure I will have much more to add about that adventure. It is 2 in the morning, but I wanted to put up a little something before I emailed you all this link.
